Leading social media network, as stated in earlier plans, has came up with its first temporary reaction emoji “Thankful” in set of reactions available when you choose to hit “like” button on a post. The reaction is kept under testing phase and might not be available to everyone around the globe.
With this “Thankful” reaction, facebook seems to test how users will actually react to this temporary reaction. According to reports, these kinds of temporary reactions will be added and removed automatically as per the days/trends or occasions and will not be available anymore after a certain period of time. The recorded reactions will be saved but people hovering the “like” button may not see these reaction-emoji later.
The “Thankful” emoji reaction is launched on Mother’s day strategically keeping in mind that people across the world will talk about their moms and send them wishes via their facebook status updates.
These temporary reactions purpose is very much similar to what “Google doodle” is, where the search engine change their logo on every special day or global trend.
